ACADEMY OVERVIEW
The BUSC Soccer Academy offers a program specifically designed for young players (U5/U6 Coed) to develop a love for the beautiful game. Through a fun and inclusive atmosphere with occasional parent involvement, we introduce them to the basics of soccer (futbol!).
For our pre-competitive Junior Hammers & Lady Hammers U7/U8 teams, the academy builds upon the foundation laid at Little Hammers and Lady Hammers U5/U6. These programs prepare players for potential future involvement in our competitive teams. Our experienced coaches provide "travel team" level instruction in a technically sound way, focusing on fun and skill development without the travel or expense of a competitive program. By keeping team sizes small, coaches can offer personalized feedback, reinforcing core skills, soccer terminology, and the essential fundamentals of the game.
What the season looks like:
- Two, one-hour practices per week (Tuesday - skills, Friday - fun & games)
- At all levels, the Academy will start to introduce the game environment by participating in the FC Alliance League ESL.
- A minimum of 10 games will be scheduled.
- What to Bring: soccer shoes, shin guards, water bottle, size 4 soccer ball.
